ASCII Generated Artwork
From the beginning of the collaboration, Haber was vocal that her new identity be dynamic, unexpected, challenging the run-of-the-mill real estate broker’s identity.
Rather than utilizing industry-standard headshots, an ASCII generator was employed to create typographic compositions using letters, numbers, and punctuation, reinterpreting the portraits. These code-based portraits are not only visually dynamic but also acknowledge Haber’s commitment to Compass’s technology of digital apps and celebrate the backend environment of software development.
Logotype
The logotype visually represents Manhattan, with formal nods to bridges, tunnels, and skyscrapers, while the interconnectedness symbolizes the fluidity of team members working together.
Print Media: Stationery System
A system of stationery was designed, including double-sided business cards featuring each team member’s ASCII portraits, as well as letterhead, mailing envelopes, and pitch folders. Special printing techniques, like embossing, were utilized to elevate particular printed assets.
